Me and my son travel the Heart of Wales line by train from Llanelli to stay in Shrewsbury every now and again, and we always stop off to grab a large pizza at Al Piccolino. It’s TREMENDOUS, always made fresh in front of us, always plenty of toppings, and always fills us up. Getting a pizza here is part of our tradition, and we love it. We ordered here as we are trying to avoid chains and support authentic independents. The pizza was genuinely the best I’ve had; delicious fresh base with tasty fresh ingredients on top. No fuss, no issues, no mistakes. It was reasonably priced and the delivery was very quick (the pizza was still piping hot!). Highly recommend ...

Surprised by how good the pizza was, considering its NOT my go-to food most times. This is a takeaway place, no in-house dining and there are limited calzones and side options as well. I got the chicken tikka pizza, standard size, and it was quite tasty and fresh. Didn't come with any veggies, don't remember if it was on the menu or not, so I ended up putting some tomatoes over it once back home. Loads of cheese, and took about 10 mins for the order to be ready. Recommended and good value for money

I have been buying pizza from Al Piccolino since the 80s when I was a small child, it was a treat then and still is. I don’t live in Shrewsbury anymore, but I make a point of ordering from here whenever I’m in town and I am yet to be disappointed. A true Shrewsbury institution, I absolutely love this place. Thanks for all the great pizzas over the years.
